Willie James Quigley, Jr., 47 of Lubbock, departed this life on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, May 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Hope Deliverance Temple. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Viewing will be held Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. Willie James Quigley, Jr. was born on April 18, 1976, to Willie James Quigley, Sr., and Mary Lee Toliver on April 18, 1976. Willie would help anyone in need. He was a great father, great cook, and an amazing grandfather who loved fishing. He loved to play dominoes and he had a funny sense of humor and was very truthful. “A heart made of gold” Willie (aka) Doub was the definition of a hardworking man. To know him was to know, “I can’t” “no” wasn’t an option. He worked at First National Bank for ten plus years and worked at Walker Lumber Company for ten plus years until he retired. He was a jack of all trades but master of none. Willie was married to Dorothy Leann Quigley for 21 years and four children were born to this union. Willis is preceded in death by his parents, Willie James Quigley, Sr. and Mary Lee Toliver; grandparents, Charlie and Catherine Quigley. Willie leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Dorothy Quigley; his daughters, Tytiana Burleson, Tiara Ward, Shawanikia Harvey, Dezaray Quigley, Julieanna Quigley, and Brianna Smith; his sons, Dequan Willard, Donavan Taylor, and Mason Childers; his sisters, Emily Quigley, Cathy Quigley, and Joy Quigley; his brother, Zachary Quigley; seven grandchildren, four uncles, seven aunts, four nieces, 6 nephews; a host of other relatives and friends.
