Willie Anderson

Willie Anderson, 88, departed this life on Tuesday, May 16, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Peace Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Willie Anderson was born on February 1st, 1935, to William Anderson Sr. and Rose Lee Carver-Anderson. Willie was from a small town called Marshall, Texas. Where he started his career with Phillips 66, and he went on to work for Benton Oil Company. Willie eventually branched out to owning his own company named, “Villa Detail” where he then serviced customers in Lubbock, Texas for over 53 years. After a long day, Willie loved to eat a catfish plate with a large Dr. Pepper from Wiley’s BBQ. Willie enjoyed detailing cars with his family and friends. Willie is preceded in death by his parents, William Anderson Sr and Rose Lee Carver-Anderson. William Anderson, Jr., Annie Lee Anderson, Robert Lee Anderson, Ruby Jewel Anderson, Tommy Lee Anderson, Catherine Anderson-Coleman, and Charles Ray Anderson; his sons, James McFarland and Willie Dale Anderson. He will be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory; three sons, Septimus Anderson, Christopher Anderson, and Steven Webb; five daughters; Cynthia Wakefield-Anderson, Karen Anderson, Sonia McFarland, Angela Patton, and Shawntel Anderson; his sister, Mary Louise Anderson-Jackson of Lubbock, TX; two brothers, John Wesley Anderson and Walter Lee Anderson both of Fort Worth, TX; 27 grandchildren and numerous of great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
