Troy A. Givens

Troy A. Givens, 74, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at 1 pm at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Troy A. Givens was born to Emerson and Hazel Young on August 21, 1950 in Point Texas. As a child he was a playful, loving, and active kid. He loved to play chess and listen to Jackie Wilson. As he got older Troy moved around a lot but kept in touch with his loved ones. He was a hard worker and he always kept his faith in God.

He is preceded in death by his parents Emerson and Hazel Young, his brothers Eddie Givens and Billy Givens, and his sister Cheryl Young.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his sisters Peggy Green, Judy Judie, Robbie Whitfield, Patricia Daniels, Donna Gilbert, Donna Young, and Rita Young, his brothers Grady Young and David Young, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
