Tama "TJ" Denise Jackson

Tama Denise Jackson "TJ", 60, departed this life on Thursday, September 12, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, September 20, 2024, at 11 am at Greater St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Tama Denise Jackson entered into this world on March 24, 1964, in Lubbock, Texas to the parentage of James Jackson and Margie Jackson.

 Tama attended Lubbock Public Schools.

Tama was a dedicated domestic worker for years. Additionally she was a loving devoted daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

 Tama enjoyed cooking and feeding everyone. As well as watching cooking shows She also enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends.

Tama is preceded in death by her father, three brothers, grandparents, two aunts, two uncles, and her beloved son Taborick Jackson.

 She leaves to cherish her joys of her life, her mother, two son Domoderick Jackson (Laronda) of Lubbock, Texas and Arthur Thomas of Odessa, Texas, one daughter Aliyah Shorter of Odessa, Texas, five sisters Deborah Johnson of Bryan, Texas, Rhonda Harris of Lubbock, Texas, Chantell Jackson of Rowlett, Texas, Janine Cole (Brandon) of Clarksville, Texas, and Deetra Jackson of Central Heights, Texas, three brothers Trae Jackson of Menlo Park, California, James Jackson (Carla) and Kevin Jefferson both of Lubbock, Texas, life long best friend/sister Cynthia LaMar, eleven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
