Talmadge Lee Washington Sr. , age 92 passed away peacefully from this life on Tuesday , November 28, 2023. He was supported and surrounded by loved ones. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Kingdom Life Fellowship. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 5 to 7 p.m. Talmadge Lee Washington Sr. Was born on February 15, 1931 in Rosser, TX to the late Augusta W. Washington and Surreather Washington.
Talmadge Lee Washington Sr. moved to Lubbock at an early age to work in the cotton Fields. Thereafter he became self-employed .  By watching others Talmadge taught himself how to lay foundations and build homes. He built two homes and two churches where he Pastored until December of 2001.  Talmadge L. Washington Sr. Loved music and sharing the gospel. He was a dedicated worker and was committed to providing for his family. Talmadge L. Washington Sr. was preceded in death by his precious wife Gerline Washington and son Cornelius Washington. 
Talmadge L Washington Sr. leaves to cherish his precious memories: his children, Sirretha Maxwell (Albert), Talmadge L Washington Jr. (Mary), Mary Richards, J. Laverne Bibbs (Jackie Bibbs), Shontel Washington, Illest Washington, Willest Washington, Lysandra Washington, Lynda Washington, Shaloyd Washington, Will Washington, Shanika Washington (Doug), Jered Washington, Gervack Washington, Jedidah Washington, Jethro Washington, Patra Washington, and Lonnie Washington. One sister Laverne Henson and brother Jimmy Washington.  T.L. Washington leaves forty- five grandchildren  and ten great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
