Stanley Harold Thomas, 76 of Oklahoma City, OK formerly of Lubbock,  passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2024 at 11 a.m.. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Stanley Harold Thomas was born October 21, 1947 to the parentage of Charlie and Wilma Thomas in Hewitt, Texas, Stanley was the second of seven children. Stanley attended Bradford Elementary School in Hurlwood, Texas and Frenship ISD in Wolfforth, Texas. Stanley moved to Oklahoma City, OK in the late 1960s, where he resided and worked for Cameron Ashley Building material for many years until his health started declining. Stanley is preceded in death by his parents Charlie and Wilma Thomas, a brother Grady Bruce Thomas, his sister Rachel Ann Thomas, his nephew Keith Len Thomas, niece Raiton Nipp, and great niece Aa'Gecria Lee Ann Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sisters Gayla D. Austin of Lubbock, TX, India E. Rodriguez of Slaton, TX, Tonda Kay Thomas of Longview, TX, step-sister Cherie L. Williams of Lubbock, TX, his brother Chester Ray Thomas (Jacquline) of Missouri City, TX, longtime friends Chris Hammons and Joe Gaddis of Oklahoma City, OK, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
