Sammy Lee Darty

Sammy Lee Darty was born on November 8, 1948, and the sun set on July 6, 2023, at 12:16 AM. Viewing will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary and Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2 p.m. at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Sammy, also known as "Sam", who was born to Roosevelt, and Carrie Darty, with a total of eight kids. Sam served in the Air Force for four years and then was honorably discharged. Sam worked for Budget Rent-A-Car for 12 years until the tragedy struck in 2003. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers and his beloved son Ronnie A. Darty. Leaving to mourn his wife, Linda Darty of 38 years and four daughters, Rochelle, Regina, Roxanne, and Tynice; one son Damien Hall, and 7 grandkids Russell, Rebecca, Richard, Raina, Jonathan, Bravyn, and Kamdon; brothers, Joe Browning, David Darty, MT Darty, Horace Wallace, RJ, Gary, and Bobby Darty; two sisters, Laydail Burleson and Wanell Davis; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
