Ruben Sifuentez Velasquez

Ruben Sifuentez Velasquez, 54, born in Dallas, TX and held it down in Lubbock, TX passed away on January 27, 2024. A private memorial service will be held. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.  He was born on March 8, 1969 with humorous charm, resourcefulness, charisma, and a love for adventure. Ruben is survived by his five brothers Oscar Barrera, Isaul Montez, Sebe Velasquez, Roberto Jr. Velasquez, and Ramiro Velasquez. He lives on through his children Isaac Velasquez, and his mother Dory Trevino, Ruben Jr. Velasquez, Andrea Do, Timothy Velasquez, Brigida Gallegos, their mother Nancy Rivera and his ten grandchildren. Ruben was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Velasquez, his mother, Carmen Sifuentez his sister, Irma Dominguez, and his brother, Peter Roy Velasquez. Ruben attended Posey Elementary for his primary education and later continued his academic journey at Estacado High School. He cultivated a diverse and accomplished career, showcasing versatile skills across various fields. Despite facing and courageously battling addiction, Ruben remained resolute in his commitment to loved ones and maintained a particular fondness for music and good food. Please remember the laughter he shared, the love he sowed, and the joy he left behind.
