Roy Dale Bohannon

Roy Dale Bohannon, 77, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Dale was born on October 28, 1947 in Wichita Falls, TX to Zona (Voyles and Aubrey L. Bohannon. He grew up in Iowa Park, TX. He was a union carpenter and millwright for several years before retiring as a law enforcement officer with the Lubbock Sheriff Department. He had a love for the outdoors and his animals. He was a multi-talented craftsman. He had a servant’s heart and was willing to help anyone in need. He enjoyed time with family whether running greyhounds or taking a road trip, he was always ready to go.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents Aubrey and Zona Bohannon, his wife Kitten Bohannon, his brother Bob Bohannon, his sisters Darlene Cope, Eva Jo Hacker, and Sharon Kay Trentham.

Dale leaves behind his sons Gene Bohannon and his wife Tanya of Godley, TX, Eddie Bohannon and his wife Elisabeth of Lubbock, TX, his sisters Gayle Fletcher and her husband Robert of Henrietta, TX and Loretta Chandler of Wichita Falls, TX, his brothers Aubrey C. Bohannon and his wife Louise of Wichita Falls, TX, Dean Bohannon and his wife Kandy of Lubbock, TX, and Gordon Bohannon and his wife Denise also of Lubbock, TX, his grandchildren Colton Bohannon and his wife Tynesha, McKenzie Teel and her husband Clay, Keegan Bohannon, Charlie Bohannon, and Traeger Bohannon, his great grandchildren Karter Bohannon and Jensen Teel, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
