Ronnie "Spot" Wayne Griffin was born on November 26, 1960 in Thrall, Texas to the late Henry Griffin, Jr. and the late Willie Doris Griffin. Ronnie was raised in Seagraves, Texas where he attended school and graduated from Seagraves High School in 1980 and attended and played Football at Western New Mexico in Silver, NM.
Ronnie has shared the last 24 years of his life with his lovely wife Patricia Braynt. Ronnie loved a n d worked as a Truck Driver and w a s known to be one of the best forklift operators in West Texas. He with his son Kenny pursued their own trucking business named Willie D Trucking named after his beloved mother. He also earned the nickname "Magic" from coworkers and friends. Ronnie recently retired in 2022. Ronnie had a passion for his family, was a lover of sports, and was a die heart Texas Longhorns fan (HOOK 'EM HORNS). Ronnie spent his retired days gossiping with his brother Wendy over the phone, Facetiming and harassing his daughter Quneshia at work, traveling to Leander, Tx frequently to visit his "patna" Mike with his wife Trish, and spending as much time with his children and grandchildren. To know Ronnie was to love Ronnie and you had to know not to take anything personal from him being he would say anything that came to mind but always with love. He was pure entertainment. Ronnie was himself always no matter the time, place, or person and through sickness and health. What you saw was pretty much what you got.
Ronnie also was known for his contagious smile. He could walk into any place and light up the room. He was a very proud man. He may have been rough around the edges with his uncensored language, but he had a very loving and caring heart and was always willing to give you the shirt off his back. Many have described him as being a light, the life of the party, a ray of sunshine, The Gift of a Father, their favorite cousin, their favorite uncle, and their hero. Ronnie in his younger years was known for his athleticism, bravery, and of course his smile. He had a love for Bald Eagles as well and he indeed was a Bald Eagle. As he persevered through his illness, he continued to show strength and be that same courageous man never complaining with that same bright smile until the very end. Every Health Care worker who entered his room immediately fell in love with his smile and his strong existence. He earned names such as "Boss" and "Tiger" from his hospital bed. Ronnie was loved and cared for by so many and will be greatly missed. But more than anything Ronnie was loved more by the Lord who he accepted as his Christ Savior at an early age and began to receive the Lord more in his later days. May Ronnie soar high now and forever rest in peace.
