Robert Lewis Demps, 44, departed this life on Tuesday, March 7, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Viewing will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Robert was born on April 22, 1978, to Sewilla Porter and Leroy Demps in Brownfield, TX. He attended school in Brownfield, TX. He attended school in Brownfield, TX. He was a loving and caring person with a big heart. To know him was to love him. He was a member of Greater New Hope Church at a young age. He loved to be out on the road driving trucks, and he loved those New York Giants. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin.

Robert is preceded in death by his mother, Sewilla Brown; father, Leroy Demps; grandparents, Birdie and Dee Richardson, Ruthie Mae Tanksley and Wesley Demps; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Falisha Demps Jenkins (Donnell) of Jacksonville, TX; and Yamika Demps of Amarillo, TX; his stepfather, Maurice Brown of Brownfield, TX; his brothers, Ronald Jackson (Laura) of Savoy, TX; and Richard Demps of Brownfield, TX; his sister, Shelia Demps Shinner of Las Vegas, Nevada; the love of his life was and always will be Laura Contreras; 9 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
