Quincy E. Sowells  "Chake," 60, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Visitations will be held Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary Chapel from 2 to 6 p.m. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Quincy was born on October 12, 1962. Quincy was employed at Jazz Louisiana Kitchen for 36 years until his death. His family and friends called him "Chake." He will be missed. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Beverly Sowells, his daughter, Juangikque Johnson; two grandchildren, Ambria Brooks and Aviance Austin, one great grandson, Braylon Austin; siblings, Rosetha Sowells, Ezekiel Sowells, Jr., and Shanita Sowells; a host of other relatives and friends.
