Norma Jean Cate died at home surrounded by photographs, her favorite music, and loved on February 19, 2024. Celebration of life Service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, San Angelo, TX under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Norma Jean was a proud member of Lonestar Cowboy Church and volunteered on committees and enjoyed fellowship and sharing her faith in the Lord with those around her. Norma Jean never allowed hard times to bring her down. She did not find time to worry, and lived life every day as it came.
Norma Jean is preceded in death by her parents; Estin and Gurtis Cate, her daughter Angelia Renee Daniel, and her husband Clayton Edward Hook.
She is survived by her children Craig and Sherry Hook, Larry and Robin Hook, and Janet Hook, her grandchildren Brandi (Nyki) Maddigan, Trevor and Robin Maddigan, Amy Wilson, Jeremy, Justin Oliver, Kyle Wilson, Whitney and Cody Weidner, Micaela and Trent Ruark, Bo Hook, Lisa, Shelby Oliver, Weston and Mary Hook, Skylar and Bethany Oliver, Walker and Kenzie Hook, Major Hook and Jessica Hook, her great grandchildren Ty, Kyle, Caleb, Sterlyn, Jayden, Makynzi, Justin, Gemma, Kash, Krew, Kingston, Jacobi, Sadie, and Jesse on the way, her brother Bud Cate, and a host of other relatives and Norma Jean will be missed by her many close friends and especially by her glitter sister and best friend Linda (Mouse) Burdell.
