Mable Jean Nobles, 71, passed away on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, June 7th, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Community Baptist Church. Private Dispositionn under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Mable Jean Nobles was born December 22nd, 1952, in Sudan, TX to Nathaniel and Louise Williams. She was the eldest of nine children born from their union.
Mable was educated in the Plainview, Midland, and Sudan, TX school systems. Mable was blessed with four beautiful children.
Although Mable had various careers during her life, it wasn’t until her parents’ health started to fail that she found her true calling and decided to become a caregiver where she nurtured and cared for the elderly. Mable found joy in taking care of her patients and being a beacon of light to them. She loved working as a caregiver and did so for 30+years until her health started failing and she decided to retire. During her retirement she basked in the joy of getting to spend a lot of time with her children and watching her grandchildren grow and played a major role in their lives.
Mable’s spiritual life started at an early age of 10. At this age, she gave her life to God at Mount Olive Baptist Church in Sudan, TX under the pastoral guidance of Reverend T. L. King until he passed away and a new leader was appointed by the name of H. K. Thomas, Sr. She continued attending Mount Olive Baptist Church throughout the years in Sudan, TX, and followed when the church moved to Littlefield, TX and was renamed New Mount Olive Baptist Church. After Reverend H. K. Thomas, Sr. passed away, she was then led under the leadership of H. K. Thomas, Jr.
Mable had a heart of gold! She loved her family and was very close with all her siblings. She enjoyed talking on the phone with her brothers and sisters, spending time with them at family gatherings and catching up with her many nieces and nephews. Mable was a pillar of strength and the legacy she left will carry on.
Mable is preceded in death by her parents Nathaniel and Louise Williams, her grandparents Lewis and Mable Davis, her baby brother, her aunt Katherine Reese, her grandson TyKeiven Phillips, and her nephew Pernell Williams.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are; her children Antwinett (Christopher) McConic, Paulette Young, Rontray (Alecia), Young all of Lubbock, TX, Bobby Roddy of Oklahoma, siblings Sherry (Edward) Moore, Nathaniel (Patricia) Williams, Rene (Billy) Joyce, Patsy Mosley all of Lubbock, TX, Rebecca (Jimmy) Rose of Shreveport, LA, Louis (Faith) Williams of San Antonio, TX, and Christopher Williams also of Lubbock, TX, grandchildren Jhuntae Molock, Gyanni Molock, Destoney Young, Kierra Young, Natalia Young, Zhadai (Dominic) Dobbins, Chloe Young, Von’Tice Samora, Jeremiah Young, Sinaha Samora, Noah Young, and Olivia Young, great grandchildren K;Leiyana Molock, Javaya Molock, Brandon Owens, Jhuntae Molock, Jr., Treyton Taylor, and A’Zurah Moore-Young, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
