Lydia B. Corona, 97, passed away on Sunday, January 26th, 2025. Visitations will be held Saturday, February 1st, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m at The Tabernacle of Truth and Celebration of Life Service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Ludia B. Corona was born on February 14th, 1927, in Thorndale, TX to Henry and Roxie Campbell.
She married her husband, E.C. Corona on March 14th, 1969. She worked at Reese Air Force Base for several years, and several nursing homes, and her passion was cooking. Her other hobbies she enjoyed was bingo, wrestling, dominos, cards, and baking sweet potato pies for the family and friends.
She is preceded in death by mother Roxie Williams, her father Henry Campbell, husband E.C. Corona, son Johnny Evans, daughters Betty Jean Chatman and Lorraine Chatman, her grandson Donald Ray Corona, her sisters Mozell Evans and Jessie Jackson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters Anna Chatman and Theresa Corona, her grandchild Kimberly Chatman Spell (Sean), her four great grandchildren, her 10 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
