Louise Lee, 87, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, March 31, 2023, at 1 p.m. at St. John Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Louise Lee was born June 16, 1935, to Mifford Hannon and Annie Hannon. Louise attended Longview High School and after completing her education she achieved her Certified Nursing License at Porter Clinic where she worked for years until they closed down. Louise was loved by everyone she came in touch with at work and at home. Louise was a beautiful person inside and out. She never met a stranger. She helped everyone. Louise had a heart of gold, caring, loving, and very kind. Louise lived with her daughter; Francene Goodson until God called her home. Louise is preceded in death by her husband, James Lee; parents, Amie Hannon and Mifford Hannon; her sister, Elouise Hartfield; two sons, Edward Charles Hicks and Arthur Hicks, Jr.; grandchildren, Janie Hicks, Abraham Cleaver, Rodrick Tatum, and Jackie Tatum; nieces, Linda Hartfield, Eloise Yates, and Sylvia Hartfield . Louise is survived by her brother, Mifford Hannon of Lubbock, TX; sister-in-law, Pearlene Lewis of Killeen, TX; daughters, Francene Goodson (Ray) and Mary Tatum; son, Donald Ray Hicks; grandchildren, Ricky Sheppard, Arthur Moore, Boffy Moore, Isaac Hicks, Gerald Humphrey, and Danny Parker; great-grandchildren, Auhtrell Cleaver, Abrason Cleaver, Becky Moore, Kimberly Hannon, Diavian Sheppard, and DaKaja Sheppard; nieces, Jeanann, Belinda Hannon, Chop Montgomery; nephews, Robert Hartfield and Wilmer Hannon; a host of other relatives and friends.
