Lonnie Mae Owens, 86, departed this life on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Griffin Mortuary Chapel. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Lonnie Mae Owens began her life on August 11, 1938 to Alonzo Owens Sr and Earla Mae Jefferson in Idabel Oklahoma. She later moved to Crosbyton Tx, and married E.L. Jackson Sr. and to this union five children were born.

Lonnie was a wife, mother, and great-great grandmother of five generations. Lonnie loved fishing, watching wrestling and being a grandmother to her nineteen grandchildren. She was a very selfless woman spreading love to everyone she came in contact with.

Lonnie was a breast cancer survivor and one of the strongest women we knew.

Lonnie is proceeded in by her mother and father Alonso Owens Sr and Earla Mae Jefferson. Husband E.L. Jackson Sr. Special friend Willie Anderson. Three brothers Alonso Owens Jr, Lee Owens, Jackie Anderson and sister Ann Anderson and great grandson Da’Rez Jackson.

Lonnie leaves to cherish her memory; Her two sons E.L. Jackson Jr and David Jackson Sr. (Asha McDowell) Three daughters Bridget Jackson (Tiarra White), Carolyn Foreman, and Melissa Smith, special son Frank Johnson. She is survived by Five sisters Thelma Thomas, Martha Lamar, Maudie Smith, Mary Morris, Lynda Fields. Three brothers Eugene Brown, Vernon Anderson, and Karl Anderson. 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson Ahmir; A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
