Lois Louise Spencer

Lois Louise Spencer, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024. Visitations will be held Wednesday, December 18, 2024, from 4pm to 6pm at Griffin Mortuary. Lois Louise Spencer, born on October 8, 1942, in Leonard, Texas to Lois Spencer and Grady Harris. 

She lost her mom at an early age. She was raised by her grandmother, Mary Spencer. She graduated from Dunbar High School, she then graduated from Draughs Business College. She worked for Kmart for 20 years until her retirement.

Lois, affectionately known as Louise, was a devoted mother to her only child, daughter Barbara Spencer.

Throughout her life Louise found joy in reading and solving jigsaw puzzles, a hobby that reflected her thoughtful and patient nature. She was known for her loyalty and her exceptional ability as a listener. Her kind heart and warm smile will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Mary, two uncles Marvin Spencer and Will Thomas "WT" Spencer.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Spencer, cousin Marvin (Carl) Spencer, and special friends Betty Smith, Ruth Caraway, and Bertha Tates, and a host of other relatives, and friends.
