Linda Kay Williams, 70, passed away on Saturday, March 29th, 2025. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 4th, 2025 at 11 am at Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Linda Kay Williams was born in Center, Texas on August 15th, 1954, to Charles and Lela Thompson. She attended and graduated from Morton High School. She also attended South Plains College and earned her Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) Certification. She enjoyed cooking, doing hair, listening to music, dancing, and being surrounded by friends and family.
Linda Kay Williams is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Lela Thopson, her daughters Yolanda Shephard and Tasha MaKayla Williams, her son Joshua Dewayne Williams, her brother Tony Fritzgerald Jackson, her grandfather Qully Garrett, and her grandmother Revesta Garrett
Linda Kay Williams is survived by her husband Michael Williams, her four son, Gary Don Shephard, Richard Corey Shephard (Latasha Lewis), Michael Jerome Williams, Shcorey Deon Jones (Kristan Berry), her four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, her brothers Cornell Garrett, Craige Jerome Garrett, larry Darnell Thompson (Nina), Ray Dean Thompson (Maudie), and Jeffery Thompson, her sisters Beverly Rena Thompson, Inez Thompson, and Chatina Thompson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
