LaWanda Grace Gordon, 62 of Lubbock, departed this life on Thursday, June 22, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, July 3, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Greater St. Mark Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. LaWanda Grace Gordon was born to Leon Armstead and Belzora Armstead on June 22, 1960. She is preceded in death by her mother, Belzora Armstead; her father, Leon Armstead; brothers, Leon Armstead, Jr. and Lee Earl Shed. She leaves to cherish her memory; her children, Damarick Rashad Wilson, Tiwanda Knesha Wilson, LaShawnté Marie Gordon, and Wildafredo Valdez Rivera; grandchildren, Marlee-Michelle Coleman and Jodee Rashad Wilson; siblings, Pastor Venus M. Smitherman (George), Dr. M. Jewel Armstead, Joe E. Anderson (Lillie), Darrell Spence, Clinton Armstead, and Bishop Designate Don W.
