Joyce Ann Poe Taylor

Joyce Ann Poe Taylor, of Wilson, was born on November 16th, 1970, in Ft. Worth, Texas at Harris Hospital. She went home to be with her Lord at 5:00 P.M. in Tahoka, Texas on March 29th, 2023, surrounded by family and loved ones. Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Wilson, TX. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. She was 52 years of age. Joyce had suffered from many health issues and was a cancer survivor, ringing the cancer free bell just a year ago. Joyce resided in Wilson, Texas with her bellowed and adoring husband, Michael Taylor of 35 years, and helped with taking care of his disabled mother, Joyce McDaniel. Joyce was a pastor’s wife and served as such for over 20 years. She was a beautiful singer and sang every Sunday on the Chapel Ministries Praise Team. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Father Joe Poe, Sr., and Uncle Ronnie Pruitt., father-in-law, Frank Taylor, and brother-in-law David Leon Taylor. She is survived by her mother, Diana Poe of Post, Texas; aunts, Karen Palmer and Anita Morris both of Post, Texas; brothers, Lanny Poe of Slaton, Texas, Joe Poe of Lubbock, Texas, and Ranks Burks of Springtown, Texas; sisters, Dana Tanner, Dawna Hood, and Shawna Brown all of Post, Texas; Tina Poe-Romine of Granbury, Texas; and Amanda Walker of Azle, Texas; daughters, Robin Truong of Lubbock, Texas, Brittany Taylor and Jessica Taylor both of Wilson, Texas; four grandson, Caidden Taylor, Mason Truong, Lincoln Truong, and Hudson Truong all of Lubbock, Texas; a host of family, loved ones, and church family. Joyce was a wonderful, amazing wife to her husband, mother to her children, Mimi to her grandchildren, friend and spiritual leader to all those who knew and loved her.
Her memory will live on through them and they will know she is forever with them in their hearts. There is a vacant place in our home and our hearts. But Heaven rejoices in her homecoming.
