Jonathan Tubbs

On Wednesday, September 25, 2024 God called our loving father and friend Johnathn Tubbs (JT) home to be with him. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, October 4, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Difference Makers Fellowship. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held thursday, October 3, 2024 at Griffin Mortuary from 3 pm to 5 pm. Johnathn was born December 5, 1971 in Olton, Texas to Izetta and Wesley Johnson. He is an only child.

He graduated from Estacado High school, class of 1991. He made friends in many different places from Lubbock to Amarillo, Texas and Albuquerque, NM.

He was known for his good heart, a family man and one who believed in keeping the family together and a firm believer in giving second chances. Many people will remember his presence as he lit up a room no matter where he was. He will always be remembered from his flamboyant style of fashion. Many people know him to love all his kids dearly. 

He leaves to mourn: His mother, whom he loved Izetta Johnson from Lubbock, Texas, His father Wesley Johnson from Lubbock, Texas. His kids, Shamira Clardy-Mbaga (Noel) of Denison Texas, Ternishia Jameson of Dallas Texas, Brittany Robinson, Jeremy Tubbs (Crystal), Jerell Tubbs, Chris Anderson and Jshawndric Tubbs of Dallas, Texas. Thirteen grandkids, a host of relatives, and many close friends, and Uncle Curtis.

 One thing to remember is, “Don’t forget me, I’m JT!”
