John R. Perez

John R. Perez, 91, our loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 9, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 18, 2023 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Shallowater. Interment will follow at Resthaven Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 1- 4 p.m. John R. Perez was born on February 20, 1932. He lived a long, blessed life. He will be missed greatly but now he is reunited with his love. He was a hard worker, gave us all a good life and wonderful memories. He was a die hard Dallas Cowboy fan and everyone knew not to interrupt him during the game! He loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loved being a farmer. He was always happy and smiling. He loved being outdoors camping and grilling were some of his favorites. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything! He loved playing pool and telling stories about his childhood. We will miss him so much but we all rest assure that he is in Heaven and we will see him again. He is preceded in death by his wife Rosa Perez, son Ramon Perez, daughter Sylvia Warren, daughters-in-law Deborah Perez and Josie Perez. He leaves to cherish his memory; his daughters Elvira P. Buchanan (Don) and Michelle Hawkins (Chad), his sons Jerry Perez, Richard Perez, Juan Perez, Jr. (Perlita Rodriguez), and Rudy Perez (Sarah), his sister, his brother Chris Perez (Elisha), his grandchildren Rosanna Warden (Jonathan), Matthew Buchanan, Vickie Perez, Veronica Henry (Rob), Stephanie Perez, T.J. Perez, Jonathan Perez, Kaiti Perez, Aaron Perez, and John Martin Perez, great grandchildren Levi Warden, Noah Warden, Carson Buchanan, Aubri Maldonado, Alyssa Maldonado, Elizabeth Perez, Cesar Perez, Ilah Perez, Brayden Henry, Atlas Rodriguez, Anakin Rodriguez, Rosa Perez, J J Perez, Emma, Rebecca, and Isabella, a host of other relatives and friends.
