Janie Viola Arredondo

Janie Viola Arredondo, 79, departed this life on Sunday, September 24th, 2023. Visitations will be held Thursday, October 5th, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and Rosary will follow at 3 p.m. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Janie Viola Arredondo was born on March 21st, 1944.  Big Momma was the best all around. Her pressure on this earth will persevere in all of you who are here sending her to our father above. Life was never easy for Big Momma, yet she managed to make lemonade out of many lemons. I’m sure you guys have memories as well. Hold on to them, tell your kids and grandkids, share them with everyone. She will be missed, but she is our angel now. She is now returned to her whole body with her husband and family who were waiting on her. I pray that everyone can smile and know that we all have Big Momma watching us. She is preceded in death by her husband, Pete Arredondo; grandson, Freddy Juarez; son, Kendrick Reed; sister, Francis Martinez, and brother, David Lucero, II. She leaves to cherish her memory; her sons, Gabriel Arredondo and Roman Arredondo; her brothers, Louis Lucero of Lubbock, TX; Orlando Lucero of Arizona; and Gary Arredondo; her grandchildren, Eric Juarez, Zion Aranda, and Camron Arredondo; her great grandchildren, EJ Juarez and Ashlyn Juarez; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
