Gloria P. Arellano, 47, passed away on Friday, April 14, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 2 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Monday, April 17, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a rosary to follow. Gloria was born to David and Catarina Arellano in Piedras Negras, Mexico on May 2, 1975. She graduated from Lubbock High School. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and being on Facebook live doing videos of baking with her two favorite co-hosts Jordan and Jaylon Perez. She also loved snuggling with her grand pup, Nova, to watch movies or just listen to music. She fought leukemia and other health battles with a smile. She enjoyed painting her nails and keeping up with them. Her sons were her pride and joy. She was the life of the party, and she enjoyed eating jalapeño poppers. She is preceded in death by her parents, David and Catarina Arellano. She leaves to cherish her memory; her sons, Hector David Arellano, Jesus Enrique Ontiveros, and Josue Guadalupe Ontiveros; her brothers, Guadalupe (Amalia) Arellano and Alejandro (Joann) Arellano; niece, Julissa Arellano; nephews, Hector Perez, Jose Perez, Alfonso Arellano, Anthony Arellano, Moiseis Arellano and Sergio Arellano; a host of other relatives and friends.
