Gilbert L. Perea

Gilbert L. Perea, 65, passed from this earth January 25, 2025 in Lubbock, TX. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at 10 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church, Anton Chico, NM. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. He was born on February 10, 1959 to Gilbert and Pula Perea in San Miguel County, NM.

He attended school in Portales, NM and worked in maintenance for most of his life.Gilbert liked to always have a clean car, house and yard. He was a go-getter and worked hard to support his family. He gave everyone a nickname and always had something crazy to say every time you talked to  him.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Leo and Albert Perea.

Gilbert will be missed by many, especially his children, son Daniel (Nikki) Perea, daughter Delilah (Moe) Coronado, grandchildren Isaiah Zaragoza, Jessiah Perea, Emmanuel, Sebastion and Carlie Rios, Nicholas and Nathaniel Coronado, great grandchildren Maelani and Kamilah Perea, brother Kenneth Perea, sister Linda Swan. He was also survived by special cousins Gilbert Baca, Cindy Gonzalez, Michael and Leroy Gallegos as well as other cousins, nieces and nephews.Gilbert is also survived by his loving and longtime partner, Monica San Roman, and her children, Jaylin San Roman and Leo Arechiga. Lastly, Gilbert leaves his dogs who were like his kids, Dart and Teddy Bear whom he spoiled rotten and are already missing him.
