E.C. Corona, Jr.

E.C. Corona, Jr. 88 of Lubbock, departed this life on Wednesday, June 13, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 22, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Tabernacle of Truth Church, Slaton. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Slaton under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. E.C. Corona, Jr. was born on September 16, 1934, in Bremond, TX to E.C. Corona, Sr and Rosie Cofield Corona. He married his wife, Lydia Corona on Mach 14, 1969. He worked and retired from the Texas State Highway Department. He is preceded in death by his parents, E.C. Corona, Sr. and Rosie Cofield Corona; daughter, Lorraine Corona; grandson, Donnie Ray, three brothers, A. D. Edwards, Earnest Cofield “Uncle Fatty”, and A. Y. Corona “Uncle Rogers”; five sisters, Pearline Davis, Princella Miller, Dorothy Corona, Johnnie Mae Godfrey, and Johnnie Faye Hudson. He leaves to cherish his memory; his wife, Lydia Corona; his daughters, Anna Chatman and Theresa Corona; his grandchildren, Kimberly Chatman – Spell; 4 grandchildren, and 9 great great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
