Earnest Edward McDade, Sr.

Earnest Edward McDade, 79, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday, December 23, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Faith First House of Hope. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1 pm to 3 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Earnest McDade was born on April 25, 1945, to Eddie Mae Lynch and Henry McDade. Earnest attended Lubbock Schools and worked at McLanes for many years until his health failed him. When not working Earnest enjoyed fishing and spending time with family. Earnest loved working and providing for his family, always there for everybody.

Earnest is preceded in death by his father Henry McDade, mother Eddie Mae Lynch, and two siblings.

Earnest leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Rosie Mae McDade, his sons Earnest Edward McDade, Jr. and Lamont Deshawn McDade, his daughter Aretha Murchison, his brothers Joe Woodard and Nathaniel McDade, 4 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
