Donna Lesa Hays

Donna Lesa Hays, 64, born August 12, 1960, in Portales, New Mexico, passed away peacefully on December 11 in Lubbock, Texas. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 17th, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Griffin Mortuary. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Donna was the beloved youngest child of Dub and Shara Hays and the treasured sister of Mikel and Pam Hays.

Lesa’s life was filled with love and devotion to her family and faith. She was a faithful Christian who cherished her relationship with Jesus Christ and sought to instill that faith in her children. Her unwavering faith brought her comfort and strength throughout life's tribulations. 

Lesa called Clovis, New Mexico, home for most of her life. Her kind heart and warm presence were deeply felt by those she chose to love. She loved her family fiercely, shared laughter quickly, and carried a wild spirit that brightened the lives of those around her.

She was the proud mother of three children: Bryan Aguilar, Amanda Sanchez, and Sterling Bowers. Her family grew with the unions of Amanda and Jimmy Sanchez and Sterling and Amy Bowers, creating a legacy rooted in love and resilience. Lesa was also blessed with five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. 

She will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lesa’s life was a testament to the enduring strength of family, and her memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
