Djuan Stephan Davis-Thompson, 61, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Viewing will be held Friday, April 12, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service will be follow at 1 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary.
Djuan Stephan Davis-Thompson Gone to be with his biological father George Garnett and mother Helen Thompson and stepfather Billy Thompson, sister Shelia Lewis, and brother Darrell Doyle.
Djuan was born in Fort Worth, TX on January 18, 1963. Djuan was the oldest child, who took his job very seriously. He was a good cook with ambition of having his own food truck. Djuan was loving, caring, and helpful. Djuan S. Davis graduated from Dunbar Struggs High School in 1982, graduated with an associate degree at Everest College in 2016 and the Head Chef University of Texas at Austin.
Djuan was a part of Community first! Village where he cooked and mentored people who needed him and loved him dearly.
He leaves to cherish his memory; his children Marqita Brooks, Chris Brooks, and Raven Ward all of Lubbock, TX, Elantra Davis and Quentyn Davis both of Austin, TX, he also leaves to mourn 12 grandchildren,his sisters and brothers D’Erick Davis, Fennell Davis, Timothy Thompson, Raslynn Thompson, and Socknomia Martin all of Lubbock, TX, Billy David Thompson of Dallas, TX, Tommy Lee Thompson, Jimmy Thompson, Billy Thompson, and Patricia Thompson of California and a host of other relatives and friends.
