Deeidre Faye Bailey, 57, departed this life on Thursday, August 24th, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 23rd, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. The pages of this book begin for Deeidre Faye Bailey “Dee Dee: on February 28th, 1966, to Betty Turner and Joe Moore, Jr. here in Lubbock, Texas. Deeidre graduated and received her GED. Later in life she became a Jehovah’s Witness, a member of Lubbock East Congregation (Kingdom Hall). After leaving Texas she moved to Ohio in 2016, upon arriving to Ohio, she transferred her membership to Stow East Congregation.
Dee Dee enjoyed being with family and friends. She had a ‘Big Smile’ and ‘Huge Laugh’. (Laughter is good for the soul). A state of loving the present environment. In her spare time, playing games and reading her bible on her iPad. She also enjoyed baking which occurred frequently each month. When coming home to Texas she would bake her ‘Ooey Gooey Cake’ for family but her favorite cake that baked was ‘Butter Pound Cake.’ Loved her sweets. DeeDee and Nita would get a kick out of calling each other “Hank”.
Dee Dee is preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jean Turner and Joe Nathan Moore, Jr.; stepfather, Johnny Turner; grandparents, Luther and Jessie Mae Hunter, Joe Nathan Moore, Sr. and Virgie Moore.
Dee Dee leaves to cherish her memory; her sisters, LaTosha Schriner (Luke) of Ohio and Mary Ellen Sneed (Don) of Dallas, Texas; her brothers, Joe Moore, III (Nancy) of Brownfield, Texas; Virgil Moore (Taura) of Lubbock, Texas; and Robert Nathan Moore (Vash) of El Paso, Texas; her aunts, Winnie Faye West and Lizzie Noe Ervin both of Lubbock, Texas; and Nora McKee of Midland, Texas; nieces and nephews, Waikeem Moore, Virgil Moorer, Jr., Rodrick Moore, Robert Moore, Jr., TaQuisha Moore, Latrice Moore, Ariel Moore, Daisha Moore, Virginia Moore, Ala’aissha Moore, Andrew Gonzales, Aaron Young, Ayanna Moore, and Levelle Gonzalez; a host of other relatives and friends.
