Deacon Clemmie "LC" Sheppard, 84, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Lyons Chapel. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. God gifted this world with the life of Clemmie “LC” Sheppard on April 2, 1940, in Caldwell, Texas to the late Willie and Hallie Sheppard. Deacon Clemmie moved to Lubbock, Texas in 1950 with his parents where he also attended school and met the love of his life, Louise Fountain. To this union was born seven children, four daughters and three sons.

Deacon Clemmie “LC” Sheppard joined Friendship Holy Baptist Church #1, where he became a Deacon, Sunday School teacher for the youth and sang in the choir. Deacon Clemmie “LC” worked diligently taking care of his family. He worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company, where he retired over 30 years.

 Deacon Clemmie is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Hallie Sheppard, his wife Louise Sheppard, and his daughter Barbara Sheppard.

 Deacon Clemmie leaves behind to cherish his memory, his three daughters Sandra Watkins, Brenda Harris, and Patricia Mosley (Ray), his sons Timothy Sheppard (Tonnie), Gary Sheppard, and Gregory Sheppard (Tammie), 15 children in which one was raised by him, Ricky Sheppard, sisters Joyce Smith, Berta Tate, Betty Tate, Gloria Sanders, and Pearl Lee McBrewer, one brother Alvin Sheppard, and a host of other relatives and friends.
