Dale'Quavion Barnard Marqis York

Dale’Quavion Barnard Ja’Marqis York, 17, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1pm at St. James Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Dale'Quavion was born on January 8, 2007, to Percilla York and Lamont Naylor in Lubbock, TX and a very special extended father, Dale Miller of Lorenzo, TX. Dale’Quavion attended public schools. Growing up Dale loved playing football, he also loved Rapping, making music, and family. Dale was a goofy playing and kind loving young man. He will be missed by so many friends and family.

Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents Wesley York, Sr., Charlotte McDade, and Sammy Naylor, Sr., his aunts Jamicia McDade and Ashley York, and his uncle Wayne Robinson.

Dale leaves behind to cherish his memory, his parents Percilla York, Dale Miller, and Lamont Naylor, his grandmother Glenda Naylor, his three sisters Jessica Gray, Quary McNeal, and Xazari Naylor, his three brothers Larry Tillis, Dale Miller, Jr., and Lamontydrick Naylor, his six aunts Shanetha Tobe, Patricia Lacy, Jenea Lacy, Leslie McDade, and Samatha York, his five uncles Willie Robinson, Jarvis Robinson, Victor York, Chris Gonzales, and Sammy Tobe, his godparents Sammy Washington and Ashley Johnson, his two very very special friends that became family to him, Ma’Kyria Oliver and Demony J Byrd, his four nieces, 5 nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
