Clev Patrick Jones "Popsicle"

Clev Patrick Jones "Popsicle", 53, passed away on Monday, December 30th, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2025, at 11 am at Greater St. James Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Friday, January 10th, 2025, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Clev Jones was born to the parentage of Helen Hasting Jones Osby and Howard Cecil Jones on March 15, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nevada. To this union there were four other siblings. Clev was raised in Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Bozeman Elementary, Alderson Jr. High, and graduated from Estacado High School.

Clev was raised in church under the leadership of the late Supt. E. L. Hastings. Clev sang in the choir and played the keyboard. Clev was a loving person to his family, his darling daughter, and his friends. He always talked about keeping the family together. He was a great dad, he loved his daughter so much. He always had a smile on his face showing his deep dimples. He also loved fishing with his family. Clev will be greatly missed by many relatives and friends.

Clev is preceded in death by his brother Roderick Jones, grandparents Supt. E.L. and Ruth Hastings, Sylvester and Thelma Jones, his nephew Leondrick Hastings.

Clev leaves behind to cherish his memory, his father Howard Jones, his mother Helen Jones Osby, his daughter and her mother Amaya Jones and Shane Pruitt, his sisters Lisa Greathouse and Kisha Jones, his brother Quincy Jones, his nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
