Christine Faye Robinson

Christine Faye Robinson, 70 of Slaton, departed this life on Monday, May 29, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Lyons Chapel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Englewood Cemetery, Slaton under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Viewing will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Griffin Mortuary from 4 to 6 p.m. Christine Faye Robinson was born on December 3, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas to the parents of Zenobia and Frankie Robinson. Christine attended Slaton Public Schools where she played basketball for a short while. She enjoyed working for the Salvation Army, Kathy and Guy Wells, and the State School where she retired from. Christine enjoyed playing bingo, watching movies, and making everyone laugh. She gave her life to Christ at One Way Church of God In Christ and was committed to serving the Lord until her passing. Christine enjoyed spending time with her family. All those who had the opportunity to know her will truly miss her. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Sylvester Robinson and Donald Robinson; two sisters, Evelyn McDaniel and Martha Kay Gilbert; grandparents, aunts, uncles, and nieces. She leaves to cherish her memory; two daughters, Juliana Robinson and Zenobio Robinson both of Lubbock, Texas; stepdaughter, Donna Jackson of Fort Worth, Texas; two stepsons, Bobby Humphrey, Jr and Glen Humphrey both of Fort Worth, Texas; three grandchildren, JaKaya, TaKaya, and Tashawn; six bonus grandchildren, one great grandchild, Krishawn Ragsdale; eight bonus great grandchildren; four sisters, Shirley Mask, Rita Knighten (Charlie), Coretta Wilborn of Slaton, Texas; and Cynthia Wilson (Darrell) of Fort Worth, Texas; one brother, Johnny Robinson of Houston, Texas; a special cousin, Sendie Becks; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
