Carl Edward Dixon

Carl Edward Dixon, 77, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at 1 pm at First Progressive Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 24, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Carl Edward Dixon was born on September 8, 1947, to Emmitt Dixon and Daisy Young.

Carl is preceded in death by his mother Daisy Young, his father Emmitt Dixon, his wife Altas Dixon, and his sisters Minnie Johnson, Daisy Green, and Wanda Mannon, his brothers Terry Dixon and Tommy Dixon, and his daughter Sherri D. Hendrix.

 Carl leaves behind to cherish his memory, his daughters Tina Johnson (Montreall) and Angela Hendrix, his sons, Kevin Hendrix (Shirley), Gerald Jackson, and Bradley Green, his sisters Emma Jordan, Lena Jackson, and Maudie Collins (Ray), his brothers Dave Dixon (Wanda), Lester Dixon (Cris), Acie Dixon, Mike Dixon (Stacy), and Bobby Dixon (Angel), his grandchildren LaTasha Thompson, DeAundra Westmoreland, William Whitfield, Davionna Butler, Myeisha Butler, Tyeisha Butler, Montreall Johnson, Jr., Deshanty Wilson, Davion Jackson, Jessica Hendrix, Ashley Johnson, Julius Hendrix, Kevin Hendrix, Jr., and Deveion Robinson, 21 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
