Brenda Anne Luton Manahan, 71, of Tyler, TX formerly of Lubbock, TX, passed away Monday, January 1, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 12, 2024 at 11 a.m. at New Light Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, January 11, 2024, at Griffin Mortuary from 4 to 7 p.m. Brenda was born June 18, 1952, the first of seven children to the parents of Billy Ray Duncan and Oweasia Marlene Duncan. She attended school and graduated from Estacado High School in 1970. She went on to attend college at West Texas State University. She worked for St. Paul Insurance Company for many years. She later moved to Tyler, Texas. She was a faithful member of Open Door Bible Church. She loved spending time with her family, working Sudoku puzzles, reading, and playing dominoes.Brenda answered God’s call to glory on Monday, January 1, 2024. She is preceded in death by her husband, H.J. Manahan, parents, Billy Ray and Oweasia Marlene Duncan, sister, Susan “Suzy Lu” Luton, and brothers, Leon Luton, and Billy Ray Smith. She leaves to preserve her memory: children, Brett Luton, Nikki Doss, Curtis Hill III, Jade Price, and Verdell Price III; step-children, Brandon Wooten sand Gregory Hardeman; brothers, Tony (Molly) Luton and Allan Duncan; sisters, Joanette Duncan and Dawn Duncan-Holder; grandchildren, Victor Doss, Jr., Vicole Doss, Imani Luton, Vicquasia Doss, Viclencia Doss, Amaria Price, Breannea Luton, Vicnayshia Doss, Jazmyn Luton, and Verdtrick Price; great-grandchildren, Victor III, Tiara, J’Kaiden, Kyng, Londyn, Ariya, and Jhavian, a hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
