Betty Sue Jones was born May 27, 1934, to the late John and Willie May Crussell. Betty attended H. G. Smith High School in Roxton, TX.  In 1949, she met Marvin Jones and later united as one on June 25, 1954. They resided in Roxton, TX for about 5 years and later moved to Ralls, TX where they gave birth to their first born son, Jeffrey Lynn and later they had three more children, Terry Lynn, Carolyn Ann, and Angela Ann Jones. They spent 62 years together in holy bond of marriage. In Ralls and Crosbyton she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years until she retired in 2012, at the rightful age of 78. Family meant everything to her, and she was the rock, the core that held everything together after the passing of our father. She was an amazing woman, mother, grandmother, and everything else you can name. She had a heart of gold and always put everyone else ahead of herself. She was so strong willed and independent, thoughtful, giving and had such a spirit of wisdom.

She loved and supported her children to the very end, and there was nothing that she would not do for people. Betty surrendered her life and soul to God several years ago. She attended several churches over time but was a member at Shiloh Baptist Church and House of Prayer.

She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Jones, mother Willie May Powell, father John Anderson Crussell, sisters Monita, Louise, and Glenda, brothers Hubert, John D, Eugene, JT, Lane, and Louis.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory; her daughters Carolyn Edwards (Timothy) and Angela Jones (Kurtis), she also help raise Stephanie Jones of California, sons Jeffrey Jones (Ora) and Terry Jones (Veronica), 9 grandchildren Tamia Edwards, Brian, James, Shaquan, Elamia, Dralyndra, Chanze, Eric and Kvon, 10 great grandchildren Yabriah, Tahlia, Luca, Xander, Kamari, Laniah, Braysin, Diana, Dyson, and Braylen, 6 nieces Annie, MaryAnn, Shirley, Jacqueline, Claudine, Barbara Ann and Dorothy Crussell Smith, nephews Jeffrey, Ricky Joe, Paul, Curtis, Andre, Kendrick, Jeremy, James, Earl, Donald and Roger Crussell, and a host of other relatives and friends.
