Arnalda Mychelle Walker

Arnald Mychelle Walker, 46, passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 27, 2024, at 1 pm at Broadway Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 4 pm to 6 pm at Griffin Mortuary. Nalda was born December, 2, 1978, to Lula Sansom and William Smith. She attended Plainview High School, where she participated in basketball and graduated in 1997 as an honor student. Nalda met Adrian in Lubbock, TX in July of 1988, and married March 10, 2003. To this union a daughter was born. 

Nalda was passionate about working out, taking care of herself, her daughter, and always encouraging others to be better. She found joy in running or training daily, and she built up her endurance to run certain marathons. She thrived on the feeling of being a role model for her family and friends. When she wasn’t working on her next job position, working out, or raising her daughter she was traveling, cheering on the Boston Celtics, listening to J. Valentine and her throwback 90’s music.

There wasn’t a heart that she didn’t touch and she was a forever giving person and we were eternally grateful to have known her.

Nalda’s work ethic surpassed others around her. She started as a JSO then worked her way up to the facility administrator.

Nalda is preceded in death by her husband Adrian Walker, her father William Smith, her grandparents Homer and Clara Johnson, grandparents J.W. and Verda Mae Hawthorne.

Nalda leaves behind to cherish her memory, her mother Lula Sansom (Michael), her daughter Abrysha Walker, her fur baby Cinnamon, her sisters Chandra Smith, Monica Sansom, Ta’Nadika Mosley, and Dy’Mond Mosley, her brother Micheal Sansom, her nieces Bryasia and Azaria both of Lubbock, TX, Jaelyi of Plainview, TX, her nephews Braeylon Sansom of Plainview, TX and Armari Johnson of Lubbock, TX, and a host of other relatives and friends.
