Anwon Tremaine Martin

Anwon Tremaine Martin, 45, departed this life on Thursday, November 30, 2023. Celebrationof Life Service will be held Friday, December 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthews Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Anwon Tremaine Martin was born on February 22, 1978, to James Taylor and Tina Martin-Taylor.
Anwon is preceded in death by his significant other Tara Johnson, great-grandparents James and Imatha Isaac and Ezekel Martin, grandfathers Frank Petties, Edward Taylor, and Olden Willis, grandmother Inez Taylor, and uncle Samuel Martin.
Anwon leaves to cherish his memory; Latricia Guess son’s mother and special friend, father James Taylor, mother Tina Martin-Taylor, grandmother Delois Petties, son, Anwon Tremaine Martin, Jr., brothers Lance Isaac,Jeremiah Isaac, Tyson Isaac, Tyrone Scott, Isaac Nealy, Tallian Mackey, Tremaine Saunders, Anthony Watson and Frankie Baucham, uncles Dwight Petties, Sr. and Melvin Taylor, aunt Latonya Petties, a host of other relatives and friends.
