Alice Lorraine Hunt

Our dear mother, Alice Lorraine Conger-Hunt, sadly passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024 at the age of 79. Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, January 3, 2025, at 11 am at Parkway Church of Christ. Interment will follow at Peaceful Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She lived a fulfilling life and was a woman of many talents. She attended grade school at Ella Illes Elementary and graduated from Lubbock Dunbar High School (Class of 1963). She received her Bachelor in Business Administration from Wayland Baptist University. She worked for Texas Instruments from 1973-1998 until they closed the Lubbock location. She continued her career as a lead analyst in the Texas Tech Health Science Centers Human Resources Department until retirement in 2010.

She became a member of the Church of Christ at an early age and was a very active member. She participated in song groups, taught Sunday school and was involved in various other areas in the church involving women and children. She loved to travel the world, listening to music and dancing the night away! She had a deep passion for helping others in need, most especially children.

Her greatest passion in life was the love and care of her family but the light of her life were her children and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Eugene Conger, Mother Bennie Jo Conger/McKay and son Alex Kevin Hunt. She is survived by her Daughter Ardeedra Dawson(Husband Claude Dawson) Sister Eleanor Crosby. Brothers Elton Conger, Bennie Joseph McKay and Victor Hicks. Grandchildren Brandon Hunt, Breana Hunt, Donzell Hunt, Kasey Hunt, Jorion Dawson, Jayden Dawson and Alex Dawson, Bonus Son Stephen Curry and Bonus granddaughter Carli Jordan. She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
