Alethea Nicole Henderson, 49, departed this life on Sunday, April 23, 2023. Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 1 p.m. Private Disposition under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. It is said that when life begins, it is like an open book with many blank pages. Each day as we live, our deeds are recorded page by page until we close our eyes in death and await that great getting up morning. The pages of this book began for Alethea Nicole Henderson, on August 20, 1973, born to the parents of John and Linda Henderson in Lubbock, Texas. She was a member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, where she participated in the youth activities and sung in the youth choir. She is preceded in death by her father, John Henderson; brother, Jason Henderson; grandfather, Sammie Beaty; grandmother, Mattie Beaty, grandparents BB and Mary Adams. She leaves to cherish her memory; her mother, Linda Henderson; her daughters, Kamryn Edwards and Kennedy Edwards; her son, Justin Floyd; her sisters, Donna (Aaron) Hastings and Alicia (Byron) Wright; her brother, John (Cristina) Davis; her grandchildren, Drew Floyd and Nia Floyd; her nieces, Sylvia Davis, Ella Mae Davis, Marissa Hastings, and Yasmina Wright; her nephews, Vegas Hastings and Brendan Wright; special friend, Shawn Moore; a host of other relatives and friends.
